We also have Tea on the Train which is our cafe in a coach. Tea on the Train is normally open from 10am to 4pm for a selection of delicious food, homemade cakes, local ice creams and hot and cold drinks daily during the high season and on occasional days during the rest of the year. Within this range are gluten free options, and other dietary requirements will be catered for. Our new managers, Charlie and Dave, will be looking at locally sourcing where possible, Fairtrade, and a commitment to recycling.
We also manage Instow signalbox on the Tarka Trail (see separate entry).
All open subject to volunteer availability.
We manage the old station at Bideford on the Tarka Trail. For the visitor we have a reconstruction of the old signal box where you can work the levers, a museum about the history of the railway (soon to become an interactive centre) and a diesel locomotive and brake van.
